Process
Realisation
KPO offers individual solutions, because the individual company requirements of our industrial customers regarding a C parts system vary depending on the company and the sector. For only an optimized C parts concept, leads to an exhaustion of the customer's savings potential and to an increase in flexibility.
4 steps towards a perfect logistics solution
There are various conceptional and organizational issues to be cleared up, between the willing of single sourcing and the implementation of the KPO logistics.
We subdivide this process into 4 steps
Step 1: definition of the C parts
Step 2: creation of a C parts concept
Step 3: plan of details
Step 4: putting into action
Step 1: Definition of the C parts
Defining the relevant C parts, the whole volume of action of the customer is determined. On the basis of these data, we create your individual supplier programme. Thanks to our know-how and experience, we can help you with the product clearance.
Often times, expensive special solutions are applied which could easily be replaced by economical standard solutions. The ascertaining of the annual consumption according to each part, serves as a basis for the decision whether all C parts should be subject to a regular supply rhythm or whether less consumed articles are to be handled as residual parts. Separating them, you safe additional space for stock-keeping, as the residual parts can be called off by you in case of need.
Step 2: Creation of a C parts concept
he analysis of the actual situation presents the basis for a creation of the C parts concept for us. We are especially interested in internal processes within your company. Vital to know is also where and in which quantities the C parts are used.
With the definition of the current situation, the following issues are of importance: assessment of demand, way and place of delivery and shelf system (see system variants of C parts logistics). Do you prefer the ascertaining of the consumption figures in a manual way or with a barcoding system? Which tasks would you like to outsource, which ones not?
This question and others are the main topics of this aspect.
Step 3: plan of details
Delivery quantities and a delivery rhythm need to be so perfectly combined that from the moment of ordering until the next delivery, no shortage in supply can occur. Should the operation of the stock be carried out by one of your employees or by the KPO logistician?
In order to assure a constant high quality and to make your life easier, we propose a conclusion of a quality assurance agreement. Finally, the process of invoicing, taking into account the administrative expenditure, needs to be determined.
Step 4: putting into action
The start signal for the C parts management is given only after completion of the conceptional and organizational preparations by the first replenishing of the C parts shelf. (!!!)
According to our understanding, regular controls of the system are an essential part of the strategic partnership between the customer and the supplier. We are always open to your suggestions as for improvement. It is our task to take up general developments in the sector of the C parts management and to make them useable for your company.
