RoboSafe nuts
self retarding safety nuts according to DB standard type "B"

Technical characteristics
One side of the RoboSafe nut is developed as a flexible collar and provided with 4 slots. A helical spring compresses this collar and causes thus a constant friction of the nut on the convolutions of the screw.
Constant and regular braking effect, regardless the torque moment, provide the RoboSafe nut with a permanent joint, indifferent to vibration.
Areas of application
Railway technology, passenger wagons and goods wagons, locomotives, high-speed trains as well as point mechanism and level crossing technologies , diesel and petrol engines, as well as automobiles and trucks, diggers, tractors and agricultural machines, engines for vessels and vessel construction technology, constructing machines, machines for building grounds, cranes and travelling cranes, transporting plants, foundry machines, smithery machines, die-casting machines, ball-and-pebble and pebble stones mills, petrol and chemical plants, vibration technologies in general, power and turbine plants, cable car and transporting techniques. Advantages
- Simple: Assembly without safety measures
- Fast: Screwing and unscrewing as easy as with usual nuts.
- Safe: The constant tension force of the helical spring makes it insensitive against any vibrations. A longevous and optimum braking effect is achieved without damaging of the convolution of the screw, even after more than 20 assemblies and disassemblies. The standard RoboSafe nuts are suitable for temperatures between -40 ° C and + 250 ° C, the RoboSafe nuts with springs made of rust-resistant steel can even stand temperatures of + 550 ° C.
