Environmental Management
We made it our business to treat the natural resources provided by the environment with responsibility and to spare them in the best possible way, actually exceeding legal regulations.
We, the company KPO, take it for granted to respect the legal environmental laws and, in addition to that, to try to do a little bit more for the environmental preservation with the help of the following means:
- responsible person for environmental matters
- KPO environmental management system
- paperless administration
- training of our staff with regards to an environment-minded behaviour
- Our articles are manufactured by treating the resources water and energy in a responsible way. Furthermore, the whole lifetime of a product and its recycling are already taken into account while designing and developing the product.
- It is our target to run all processes under economical aspects, yet considering equally the environmental friendliness. Existing and planned processes are thus systematically evaluated with regards to their environmental compatibility in order to minimize environmental pollution.
- We inform and train our staff thoroughly concerning environmental aspects and support any active contribution of their part to keep improving our efforts for the environmental protection.
- We consider the environmental claims of our customers and support them with any further questions that might occur being relevant for environmental matters.
- We consider our suppliers as partners. Thus, we also involve and support their activities for the environmental protection.
- Responsibility for the society does not stop at the factory gate. Therefore, we maintain an open dialogue with any interested public group and support activities at our sites which serve also outside our premises.
Since September 2008, we have meet the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001: 2005.
