Thermoforming parts

Hot shaping is suitable for small to medium runs. All the reshaping steps that take place above the re-crystallisation temperature of a metal are a part of hot shaping.

The solidification occurring at the time of the reshaping is accompanied by recovery and softening processes taking place during and after the reshaping steps. This way very high degree of reformation can be brought about. Here it is not mandatory that the material be warmed up. In many metals, re-crystallisation takes place even at room temperature.

The thermoforming processes can include: Forging, hot-rolling, extrusion moulding, flow-drilling. Manufacturing is done using modern thermoforming equipment with lathe and milling post-production.
